Fifty Bible stories, each from the point of view of the woman who lived through the experience, are retold by Larsen. A positive feature of the book is that it credits a number of women with significant roles in biblical events. Many religions are still very male dominated and male oriented; so it is refreshing to have a book for young girls that focuses on females. While a nice concept, the author's attempts to show readers what characters were feeling are sometimes lacking. After each chapter, the author provides a meaningful Bible verse and some food for thought under a section entitled Mom's Touch.
